Despite being deaf, seventeen-year-old Gorrety Akinyi excels in a Nairobi community ballet program by carefully watching her teacher and classmates' movements. Founded by Michael Wamaya, Project Elimu offers arts education and a safe space for children in Kibera, where Akinyi has found joy in dancing despite her hearing impairment, forging friendships and inspiring others with her determination.
