Principal dancers Tiler Peck and Roman Mejia will debut an original ballet performance at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, set to Alex Warren’s love ballad “Carry You Home.” The engaged couple, whose partnership blossomed into romance during the pandemic, hopes their modern take on ballet will captivate millions while honoring Peck’s late father, a longtime parade enthusiast.

Weeks before the 40th annual performance of The Nutcracker in Canton, Michigan, a trailer containing key props and sentimental set pieces was stolen, leaving the Plymouth-Canton Ballet Company scrambling to replace thousands of dollars’ worth of items. Despite the setback, the community rallied with donations and volunteer efforts, ensuring that the cherished holiday tradition will go on as planned, albeit with some creative adjustments.
